Re: EasyLyte Expand Transport Damage

Dear Hanna,

1. will find out for you

2. there is something physically damaged with it - it never ever while the test goes below 255, same value as when no sample detector is plugged

3. without any sample detector value at all the machine was not performing a calibration

We are sure something is really broken after the fall, however I am not sure at the moment if I would have to order a full mainboard to replace or if there are smaller units of spare parts that I could try replacing first?

best regards

Tobias

  1. What is the serial number on this analyzer?:
  2. Please go to Second Menu, diagnostics, sample detector test.( please send me the print out):

Regarding the sample detector : The air value is typically less than 150 and the liquid value is typically greater than 200. If the difference between these two values is 50 or greater, the test is successful and you can see the “SAMPLE DETECT OK” message on the display.

  1. Please do the calibration 5 times and send me the print outs. Please do the QC ( three levels ) each level 5 times and send me the print outs.
  2. I would recommend monitoring the EL for two days and everyday do the calibration ( for example 5 times ) and run the QC ( three levels more than 5 times per day )and monitor the results. If the calibration and QC results are good and within the normal ranges the analyzer is good to use.

  • EasyLyte Expand Transport Damage

    Dear Hanna,

one of our customer has transported their EasyLyte Expand in a car without any packaging, it feel in a curve - most prominently the needle was bent, the sample detector is damaged but also after replacing the sample detector the test still shows no less than 255 - we suspect internal damage.
Is there more testing we can do to evaluate what to fix?
Could you suggest which parts to order?

    best regards
    Tobias
