RE: EL Expand K Slope

Dear Tobias,

Thank you for your email.

  1. I would recommend to change the reference electrode. ( Please let us know how it goes and send us the lot number for the reference electrode )

  2. Unfortunately the reference electrode is not under warranty, because there were been using it for six months.

  3. Are they doing PM ( preventive maintenance) every six months?( Change the tubing- reference electrode)

  4. What is the serial number on this analyzer?

  5. Please send us the calibration print out.

  6. Please send us all the QC print outs.

  7. What is the lot number for this QC?

  8. Which kind of sample are they testing?

  9. Which kind of sample tube are they using? With which anticoagulation?

  10. What is the sample volume par day?

  11. What is the part number and lot number for the daily cleaner?

  12. For how long do they use a fresh daily cleaner after making a new one? Where do they store this daily cleaner?

  13. Please ask your customer to run the daily cleaner in the morning , do the calibration, run the QC materials then start running the patient samples.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Best Regards,

Subject: EL Expand K Slope

Dear Hanna,
Dear MEDICA,

i have a report of an EL Expand -
after 2,5 years their K had a high slope 65+
so they installed a brand new K sensor lot 19221 - to our surprise they still get the high slope 63-65.
The REF was installed about 6 months ago.
Do you have a tip for us, where to direct troubleshooting since it feels peculiar that even with a new sensor they get the same high slope?
kind regards
Tobias
